Here at the Patch we believe amazing things grow from a tiny seed.

That’s why we developed our project teaching vocational skills to young people aged 16+ with learning difficulties.

The Patch is a training and development course providing opportunities to grow chillies and other plants using hydroponics which are then turned into delicious jams, oils and sauces. We developed our project to address the lack of post-school opportunities for young adults with learning needs.

This project is run by Sólás special needs charity and based in South Belfast. Sólás work extends across Northern Ireland (read more about Sólás and its work here).
